Okay, there've been some questions nagging me for 11 long years.
1. How long is the day in Labyrinth?
I swear the sun rises as Sarah first looks on the labyrinth. While walking through the woods, Sir Didymus says, "We should reach the Castle well before day." Shortly after, seemingly at twilight, is the peach scene leading to the ball. Sarah winds up in the junkyard at night and enters the Goblin City in the morning. Then it looks like it's twilight again after the Escher room breaks up.
Keep in mind she had 13 hours to solve the Labyrinth. BUT! Jareth took several hours off the clock in the scene just before the cleaners - I think it works out that she had 9 hours to solve it. BUT! When Sarah returns home, it's midnight, let's say, "Earth time". She left somewhere after 7 PM when the movie began. That's only 5 hours, Earth time. So, how long is the day in the labyrinth, or how long was Sarah in the labyrinth?

I'd guess a Labyrinthian day is in the area of 9 hours, as you mentioned. Maybe the outside of the Escher room is another room, maybe? More Goblin magick? Or maybe the entire Labyrinth bit all takes place in the first glass ball Jareth throws at Sarah (Back in Tobi's room)... That'd be cool... It would explain why all the Goblins laughed so whole-heartedly...
